Feeling overwhelmed by the college application process?
Do you have questions about how to tackle the Common App?
Are you unsure if your college essays measure up?

Hi! I'm Courtney, and welcome to 1-ON-1 personalized attention tailored to help you and your family demystify and navigate all the moving parts of the college application process.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from The University of Florida, where I was strongly encouraged to pursue a career writing children’s literature. Instead, marriage and life moved me to Memphis, TN, where I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with honors from The University of Memphis while I taught high school honors English in Shelby County Schools and where I had the honor of being awarded English Teacher of the Year and Outstanding New Teacher of the Year.
I currently reside in sunny Tampa, FL, and when I’m not helping students with their college essays, you can find me on the tennis court with friends. I have two daughters; both attend The University of Florida, ranked #5 of public universities according to US News and World Report. In addition to helping high school seniors apply to elite schools such as Harvard and Yale, I’ve also assisted and supported countless graduate students move from the applicant phase to the interview phase for residencies and graduate programs, showcasing their unique qualities in their Letters of Intent and Personal Statements. Whether you’re in pursuit of an Ivy League education or hoping to attend your state college or university, all are welcome in this space.
Accompanying students on their college application journey and helping them create the most thoughtful and meaningful essays that are both authentic and compelling is one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences of my professional life.
